About Catherine

Catherine is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. While attending UWEC she was music chair for Englishfest on campus as well as a fifth grade mentor for the campus's Blugold Beginnings program. She is still an active alumni member of the University's Sigma Tau Delta, Theta Zeta English Honors Society Chapter and Alpha Sigma Pi, the University's National Society of Leadership and Success Chapter.

In addition to her volunteer and honors work on campus, Catherine was a free-lance writer/reporter for UWEC's student newspaper, the Spectator. She was also involved with the campus's student-run television station 'TV-10' for three years where she started off as a volunteer and worked her way up to producer and co-anchor of the one of the station's flagship television programs and one of the station's executive officers.

Catherine's written creative work, titled "Orders" was selected at Sigma Tau Delta's 2012 International English Honors Convention in New Orleans this past March. Catherine was one of 250 student writers selected to present their work out of 4,500 applicants at the three day conference.

Currently, she resides in her hometown of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin where she actively volunteers within the community.

In Catherine's free time, she enjoys running and biking as well as competing in triathlons or mud-runs. When she's not busy competing, shopping, or traveling the world, she likes to spend time with her family at their cabin in Northern Wisconsin. When it comes to relaxing, Catherine loves to just curl up on the couch with a good book.

Catherine graduated in the Spring of 2012 with Cum Laude honors from UW-Eau Claire with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Broadcast and a minor in Creative Writing.
